Software Engineer - Network Products

About the role

Scaleway is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Network Products Engineering team. You will help design, build and improve scalable connectivity services that power the company’s cloud platform, working primarily from remote locations across France.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for network connectivity products such as InterLink, Site‑to‑Site VPN and Public Gateway.
• Design and implement high‑performance gRPC APIs in Rust for cloud networking.
• Debug complex networking and distributed‑system issues and ensure reliability.
• Investigate and resolve technical incidents reported by customers.
• Collaborate with product, documentation, design, frontend, dev‑tools and support teams.

Required profile

• Strong interest in networking and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently and in a distributed, remote team.
• Good problem‑solving skills and willingness to share knowledge.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Rust programming.
• Experience building gRPC services.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, VPN technologies and distributed systems.
• Backend development experience.
