Software Engineer – Backend (Remote, France)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high‑impact backend services that power secure, scalable digital financial solutions. The role is fully remote and based in France, allowing you to collaborate with an international engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain robust backend services.
• Own software components from architecture through production monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Build secure, fault‑tolerant, and scalable solutions for large user bases.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, including microservices, cloud‑native and distributed systems.
• Apply modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, and continuous delivery.
• Use Event‑Driven Architecture and Domain‑Driven Design to create maintainable systems.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and knowledge‑sharing activities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python (or another major programming language).
• Experience with backend development and building reliable services.
• Knowledge of microservices, cloud‑native architectures, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Understanding of Event‑Driven Architecture and Domain‑Driven Design.
