Site EHS Manager – Nîmes

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Site EHS Manager to lead Environment, Health & Safety at its Nîmes facility. You will combine hands‑on operational work with strategic EHS leadership, ensuring compliance with French regulations and company standards across laboratory and production areas.

Key responsibilities

• Own site EHS performance and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain and drive risk assessments (DUERP, PAPRIPACT, etc.).
• Lead chemical, biological and occupational risk management.
• Oversee fire safety, emergency preparedness and safety training programs.
• Manage environmental compliance and hazardous waste processes.
• Coordinate site hygiene standards and supervise service providers.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality and Procurement on EHS topics.
• Support audits, inspections and regulatory interactions.
• Collaborate with Corporate EHS teams and counterparts in other sites (e.g., H’dorf, Vantaa) to share best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in EHS, Safety, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology or a related field.
• 5–8 years of EHS experience, preferably in laboratory or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of French EHS regulations (DUERP, PAPRIPACT, environmental compliance).
• Fluent French and good English communication skills.
