Senior Solutions Architect – Global Financial Services (EMEA/APJ)

About the role

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join its Global Financial Services team. You will work with leading banks, insurers and capital‑market firms across EMEA and APJ, helping them design, migrate and modernise their workloads on AWS while driving AI adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with customers to architect, build, and migrate applications, software and services on the AWS platform.
• Collaborate with sales teams to develop strategies that accelerate AWS adoption and meet revenue targets.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior technical leaders in financial services, shaping long‑term technology strategy.
• Lead architectural discussions and design reviews to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, cost‑optimized and operationally excellent.
• Create reusable reference architectures, patterns and best‑practice content for the Solutions Architect community.
• Mentor and develop fellow Solutions Architects, contributing to team capability growth.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking or data & analytics.
• 3+ years of design, implementation or consulting experience for applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
• Fluent in French and English (C1 level or above).

Required skills

• Deep expertise in financial services and how cloud and AI transform the industry.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture.
• Experience designing infrastructure, database and networking solutions on both Linux/Unix and Windows platforms.
• Ability to design secure, highly available, disaster‑recovery and load‑balancing architectures.
• Proficiency in AI and generative AI concepts for cloud solutions.
