Senior Sales Engineer - Paris

About the role

Datadog is looking for a Senior Sales Engineer in Paris. As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will partner with Sales to help customers understand the value of Datadog and how it solves their technical and business challenges. You will lead technical evaluations, deliver demos and guide customers from discovery to adoption, acting as a trusted advisor who bridges business goals with technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the sales process with Account Executives, shaping the technical strategy from pre-grip to closed won
• Lead customer discovery, turn needs into tailored Datadog solutions and deliver demos, presentations and workshops
• Project manage technical evaluations end to end: scope use cases, define success criteria, build a project plan and hold participants accountable
• Cultivate technical champions within customer accounts
• Take part in product and engineering field feedback sessions as the customer's technical voice
• Keep activity, deal progress and customer interactions documented in the relevant systems
• Work with Product, Support and GTM teams to resolve technical blockers

Required profile

• 5+ years in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering or a technical customer-facing role in an enterprise setting
• Comfortable in multi-stakeholder environments, with strong communication skills
• Consultative approach, able to handle several opportunities at once
• Willingness to travel as needed
