Senior Real Estate Appraisal Expert

About the role

JLL is looking for a senior real estate appraisal expert to join its JLL Expertises team and carry out assignments for French and international clients. The post is based in Paris and requires regular travel to the regions. It suits someone with deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology who wants to apply their expertise to a new industry.

Key responsibilities

• Identify client needs, the context and the key issues of the assignment
• Gather all documents needed to assess the property, from the client or external stakeholders such as public bodies
• Visit properties and carry out an in-depth analysis: location and accessibility, architectural quality, condition, legal and administrative aspects, environmental and urban planning analysis, financial analysis and more
• Write appraisal reports and client briefings according to methodological and ethical rules, and present them to the client
• Act as the technical advisor throughout the assignment, defending and explaining your conclusions
• Pilot and coordinate recurring portfolio appraisals in France or Europe
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and professional standards (Charter of Appraisal, RICS)
• Close the assignment with the administrative team and take part in commercial follow-up and prospecting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher (corporate finance, business school, M2 Real Estate)
• 5 to 7 years of experience in real estate appraisal
• Excellent knowledge of the real estate market, law, tax and accounting, and financial modelling
• Strong writing skills, analytical and synthesis abilities, assertiveness and good relationship skills
• Fluent English is essential; RICS membership is ideal
