Senior Microbiology & Biotechnology Lab Technician

About the role

Generare is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician to join its production team in Paris. You will be responsible for turning soil‑derived microbial samples into valuable therapeutic compounds using cutting‑edge synthetic biology, computational biology, and automation platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Process microbial samples, perform isolation, DNA extraction, PCR, strain transformation and Nanopore sequencing.
• Support molecular biology workflows, including construction of cloning libraries and transformation of host strains.
• Conduct fermentation experiments and maintain optimal culture conditions.
• Execute organic extractions to isolate bioactive small molecules from microbial cultures.
• Prepare reagents, maintain laboratory equipment, and ensure material readiness for daily workflows.
• Record protocols and experimental results in laboratory software with rigorous traceability.
• Collaborate closely with the Production team to plan and execute workflows efficiently.

Required profile

• BTS, DUT or Licence in microbiology, biotechnology, or molecular biology.
• 3–5 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a biotech or microbiology environment.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous record‑keeping.
