Senior Machine Learning Engineer - AI Data Trainer

About the role

Alignerr partners with leading AI research labs to build and train state‑of‑the‑art models. This role focuses on capturing how large language models (LLMs) reason and act step‑by‑step, creating high‑quality data that improves real‑world decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation of complex, high‑fidelity reasoning traces for sophisticated technical tasks.
• Mentor annotators and review structured traces to ensure optimal planning and tool‑use documentation.
• Design data strategies that enable LLMs to navigate intricate real‑world decision‑making scenarios.

Required profile

• Significant experience in Machine Learning or related technical fields, with a focus on model reasoning.
• Proven ability to decompose complex problems into clear, logical, documented steps.
• Experience with advanced LLM evaluation and training methodologies.
• Preferred: prior experience with data annotation, data quality, or evaluation systems; strong Kaggle competition results (Grandmaster/Master level).
