Senior Legal Counsel, Litigation

About the role

As a Senior Legal Counsel – Litigation you will join L'Oréal Finance & Legal's newly created Litigation department. Reporting to the Global Head of Litigation, Risks and Insurance, you will help shape the global litigation strategy and build the function from the ground up, working with a high degree of autonomy and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the global litigation reporting tool (Lit‑On) and prepare high‑level presentations for the Audit Committee.
• Animate the worldwide litigation community, fostering collaboration and sharing best practices.
• Handle complex international litigations involving the parent company and subsidiaries, and coordinate insurance coverage disputes.
• Oversee external counsel performance and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Define and implement departmental processes (RASCI) in partnership with other functions.
• Support awareness initiatives on product liability, confidentiality, legal privilege, and written communication.

Required profile

• Seasoned legal professional with extensive litigation experience.

• Strong business partnership skills and ability to manage complex cases.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
