Senior Legal Counsel (IP, IT, Commercial)

About the role

L-Acoustics, a global leader in professional sound systems for live events, is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel in Massy. The role provides strategic and practical legal support across commercial, intellectual property, technology, contractual and other business matters in an international environment, acting as a trusted business partner on legal risks, opportunities and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal advice to business stakeholders and partner with them to identify risks and develop pragmatic solutions.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage commercial agreements such as software, SaaS, licensing, cloud services, technology development, R&D and partnership contracts.
• Protect, manage and enforce the company's IP portfolio (trademarks, patents, copyrights, know-how, trade secrets) and advise on IP matters for products, innovation and R&D.
• Advise on IT, digital transformation, cybersecurity, AI and software development.
• Support privacy, data protection and data governance programmes, including GDPR compliance.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and deliver training on legal risk and IP protection.
• Handle IP and commercial disputes, infringement matters and claims, working with external counsel.
• Support cross-functional projects, corporate governance, compliance and risk management.

Required profile

• Master's degree in law, specialising in IP, IT, technology or business law.
• Minimum 8 years of experience, both in a law firm and as an in-house practitioner.
• Fluent in French and English.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in IP, IT technology transactions and commercial law.
• Solid experience drafting and negotiating agreements internationally.
• Knowledge of data protection and digital regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
