Senior Global Operations Associate - Air Freight

About the role

Flexport is hiring a Senior Global Operations Associate for its air freight operations in Paris. The role is part of the Global team and supports account management, customs, subcontractors, carriers, terminals and trucking providers. It ensures that customer shipments are executed on time and within budget, while helping to build the next operational model and find efficiencies.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure shipments move on time and exceptions are handled appropriately, meeting internal KPIs and SLAs
• Follow standard operating procedures and solve client issues quickly, escalating when needed
• Coordinate daily logistics with partners such as air carriers, customs, warehousing, transloading, trucking and the air operations team
• Manage end-to-end movement of freight shipments within a regional network (imports and exports), including intermodal movements
• Help partners become more autonomous in managing their shipments

Required profile

• BA/BS degree or completed professional training as a forwarding agent
• 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding, with direct air export experience
• Fluent French and English; other European languages are a plus
• Compliance-first attitude, given the highly regulated industry
