Senior Electronics & System Integration Engineer

About the role

Every quantum computer we build depends on getting the physical foundations right, and you will be the key link that brings together sub‑components, instruments, cabling, racks and custom electronics into reliable, production‑ready systems. You will work closely with physicists, RF engineers and mechanical engineers to design scalable rack and wiring architectures for our rapidly scaling quantum hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Design and integrate robust rack and electronics systems, including custom PCBs, cryostat sub‑parts and tooling.
• Integrate equipment into racks and cryostats, manage wiring across instruments, and drive scale‑up of installations.
• Design and run validation tests, analyse results and troubleshoot mechanical, electronic and control‑electronics issues.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with equipment and component suppliers, staying abreast of state‑of‑the‑art instrumentation.
• Collaborate with physicists, RF and mechanical engineers to define hardware architectures and document work.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electronics design and system integration, including PCB design and lab instrumentation.
• Strong hands‑on skills in analog, RF and DC electronics, PCB design tools (KiCad, Altium), cabling, rack integration and lab instruments (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes).
• Proficiency in Python scripting for tooling, testing or automation.
• Pragmatic troubleshooting mindset and ability to devise scalable integration solutions.
• Experience in supplier sourcing, evaluation and management, with solid documentation and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.
