Senior Consultant - Satcom Constellation Design & Simulation

About the role

Join a leading technology consulting player in the booming space industry, supporting clients on Satcom constellation projects from concept analysis to system feasibility studies.

Key responsibilities

• End‑to‑end engineering of Satcom constellation systems, covering design, sizing, optimisation, specification, assessment, construction, testing and operation.
• Translate customer needs into key design parameters, produce preliminary designs, recommend trade‑offs (cost, time, complexity) and assess CAPEX/OPEX.
• Generate simulations to demonstrate performance, limitations and use cases.
• Perform payload technical analysis, including performance, capacity, interference, traffic patterns, hand‑over, gateway positioning and inter‑satellite links.

Required profile

• MSc in space engineering, preferably with a telecommunications focus.
• Minimum 7 years of industry experience in satellite communications, including at least 3 years in Satcom constellation design.
• Knowledge of spectrum regulatory aspects.
• Proven ability to solve technical problems using mathematical analysis, computer simulation and experimentation; high computer literacy (Python, MATLAB).
• Strong commercial and operational awareness to balance price, performance and implementation risk.
• Well‑organized, autonomous, with excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent English and EU citizenship; willingness to travel worldwide.
