Security Operations Manager – Paris

About the role

OpenAI’s Corporate Security team is looking for a Security Operations Manager based in Paris. The role will oversee physical security for the Paris office, support Brussels operations and coordinate regional security for European sites such as Munich and Zurich.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day physical security operations for the Paris office and provide primary support for Brussels.
• Coordinate regional security coverage for Munich, Zurich and other European cities as business activities require.
• Manage access control, visitor workflows, vendor contracts, incident response and emergency readiness.
• Partner with Workplace, Legal, People/HR, EHS/Resilience, GSOC and local leadership to keep security effective and employee‑friendly.
• Support event and executive visit planning with clear escalation paths and proportionate risk mitigation.
• Monitor and improve vendor performance, reporting and remediation tracking.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in corporate or physical security, protective services, emergency management, law enforcement or a related operational field.
• Proven experience managing security vendors or guard forces, including performance management and incident standards.
• Strong incident management background with experience in response, documentation and stakeholder communication.
• Hands‑on knowledge of access management, visitor management, reception security and site emergency readiness.
• Familiarity with French corporate security practices and ability to work across Paris, Brussels and other European locations.
• Professional business English required; French proficiency strongly preferred.
