Security Engineer (m/w/d)

About the role

SYSGO is looking for a Security Engineer (m/w/d) based in Saint-Germain-en-Laye. The role covers product security, security certification and the maintenance of security tools, with strong emphasis on secure-by-design development.

Key responsibilities

• Support product development during the specification and design of security features, and review software architecture and design to ensure a secure-by-design approach
• Take part in vulnerability scanning, analysis and scoring, and generate vulnerability reports
• Support security and penetration testing of the product lines
• Contribute to security certification work, including managing and improving certification evidence and tracking maintenance and re-certification
• Maintain automated external (CVE) and internal (Jira) vulnerability monitoring tools, integrate SBOM generation tools into the CI/CD pipeline, and support the selection, configuration and integration of code analysis tools

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of operating systems, embedded systems, hypervisors or other safety- and security-critical software
• Exposure to security certifications in avionics, industrial automation, railway or automotive is a plus
• Fluent English is a must, with strong verbal and written communication skills

Required skills

• C programming, Python and shell scripting
• REST API interactions and data formats such as XML, JSON and YAML
