SAP Technical Architect (M/F)

About the role

Magellan, an international management consulting and technology group, is hiring an SAP BC Technical Architect for its SAP Architecture & Expertise team in Paris. You will work with major enterprise clients across the full lifecycle of their SAP platforms, from assessment and cost estimation to implementation, deployment and handover to operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design SAP technical architectures and lead SAP transformation projects, including migrations to S/4HANA, OS/DB migrations, multi-technology upgrades, data volume reduction before migrations, SSO implementation and proofs of concept.
• Provide Level 3 technical support to RUN teams for complex incidents and lead technical workshops.
• Monitor platform and database performance, drive HANA compression and optimization initiatives, and recommend technical improvements.
• Standardize and industrialize deployment processes and produce technical documentation such as technical implementation plans, test plans and operational runbooks.
• Take part in operational, architecture and cybersecurity committees, change management boards and the development of the SAP Center of Expertise.

Required profile

• Master's degree (Bac+5) from a university or engineering school.
• At least 10 years of technical expertise in designing and managing SAP landscapes (ECC, BW, S/4HANA, etc.) within an SAP Center of Excellence or a large enterprise.
• Proven experience designing and implementing high-availability SAP architectures.
• Experience leading technical projects with application maintenance teams, software vendors and infrastructure teams.

Required skills

• SAP Basis administration across ECC, S/4HANA, BW, BO, Solution Manager, Fiori and Web Dispatcher, and management of SAP HANA 2.0 and Oracle 19c on Exadata.
• Unix/Linux (RHEL 8/9), Windows Server and shell scripting.
• Monitoring and automation tools: Focused Run / Focused Insights, SAP Cloud ALM, Wily Introscope, Centreon and Ansible.
• Preferred: SAP S/4HANA conversion and system upgrade certification; additional SAP certifications such as SAP BTP, SAP Enterprise Architect, RISE with SAP or SAP Activate are an advantage.
