Retail Construction Project Manager

About the role

Storecraft Consulting is seeking a Retail Construction Project Manager to support high‑end retail fit‑out projects across Europe. Working alongside senior project and programme managers, you will coordinate construction activities from pre‑construction through handover while progressively taking ownership of your own projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of retail construction projects from pre‑construction to handover.
• Coordinate general contractors, architects, consultants and specialist subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Attend and lead site and progress meetings, track actions and follow up with stakeholders.
• Assist senior project managers in resolving technical issues, reviewing construction methodologies and monitoring risks.
• Oversee on‑site execution, inspections, safety protocols and quality benchmarks.
• Manage cost monitoring, value‑engineering alternatives and budget optimisation.
• Prepare and submit RFIs, submittals and change orders.
• Create, update and enforce project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Lead procurement activities, develop bid packages, issue RFPs and draft contracts.

Required profile

• Solid construction background, preferably with a general contractor, architecture practice or construction consultancy.
• Experience in retail fit‑out or similar high‑end commercial projects.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and take ownership of project phases.
• Strong analytical mindset for cost control and value engineering.
