About the role

Lyreco France is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead its payroll function in Valenciennes. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for the French operations while guiding a team of approximately ten collaborators.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end‑to‑end payroll process for all employees, ensuring compliance with French legislation and internal policies.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of ten payroll specialists, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance environment.
• Coordinate with HR, finance and external providers to resolve payroll‑related issues and improve processes.
• Prepare and present payroll reports and analyses to senior management.
• Maintain and update payroll documentation, procedures and internal controls.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing payroll operations in France, preferably in a mid‑size or large organization.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent knowledge of French payroll regulations, social security contributions and tax rules.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and able to meet strict deadlines.
