Responsable Crédit Management (H/F)

About the role

We are looking for a Credit Management Manager (H/F) to join a leading French paint manufacturer in Strasbourg. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for implementing the company’s credit policy and supporting sales to secure and grow revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enforce credit policies in line with corporate objectives.
• Assess credit risk of new and existing customers, especially artisans and building firms.
• Oversee a team of two credit officers, guiding daily collection activities.
• Monitor accounts receivable, manage disputes and negotiate payment terms.
• Use Excel pivot tables and dedicated collection software to produce regular reports and forecasts.
• Collaborate closely with the sales force to balance credit risk and sales opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum Bac+3 degree in accounting, finance or management.
• At least 5 years of experience in credit management or collections, preferably in the construction or building‑materials sector.
• Strong analytical mindset, rigorous and autonomous work style.
• Excellent negotiation and telephone communication skills, able to adapt to diverse interlocutors.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including pivot tables.
• Proficiency with credit/collection management software.
