R&D Engineer – Product Development

About the role

Tissium is seeking a motivated R&D Engineer to lead product development work packages within its innovative medical‑device portfolio. You will apply your technical expertise to design new concepts, drive testing programs, and ensure robust documentation throughout the development cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead selected work packages, providing technical direction for concept design, testing strategy, and documentation.
• Develop, optimise and execute project plans, budgets and timelines in collaboration with the Project Lead.
• Identify, assess and mitigate technical risks using formal risk‑management practices.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure clear communication and seamless project progress.
• Plan, oversee and conduct studies and tests, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Select and manage external vendors and suppliers for testing, analysis, part supply and production activities.
• Propose and implement improvements to processes, procedures and product designs.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (e.g., Biomedical, Mechanical, Chemical) with experience in product development.
• Proven ability to lead technical work packages and manage project timelines.
• Strong understanding of risk management, regulatory compliance and technical documentation requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
