Quality Systems Specialist – ISO 9001 & GMP Compliance

About the role

The Quality Systems Specialist I will support IFF’s Quality team in maintaining and continuously improving the site Quality Management System. The role ensures compliance with customer, regulatory and certification requirements while driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain quality system documentation, including policies, procedures, SOPs and work instructions.
• Support site certifications such as ISO 9001, RSPO and Halal.
• Coordinate the internal audit programme: planning, execution support, reporting and follow‑up.
• Track audit findings, ensure timely closure and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Assist with mock recall activities and KPI reporting for Management Review meetings.
• Provide day‑to‑day support to the Quality Engineer and participate in root‑cause investigations.
• Promote GMP compliance, deliver quality‑related training and support onboarding of new employees.
• Contribute to cleaning validation, Management of Change (MOC) assessments and continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Chemistry, Engineering, Life Sciences or a related field.
• Initial experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, Regulatory Compliance or a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001, GMP principles, auditing processes and CAPA management.
• Experience with documentation control and quality records management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
