Python Developer – AI & ML Projects

About the role

IDnow is building a next‑generation fraud detection engine that leverages AI, advanced data structures and real‑time signals. As a Python Developer on the AI & ML team, you will help design, implement and operate core components of this engine, working closely with tech leads, researchers, ML engineers and product owners.

Key responsibilities

• Design, integrate and operate graph‑oriented databases for relational analysis.
• Develop, scale and maintain backend micro‑services that power the fraud detection engine.
• Write high‑quality Python code, ensure thorough testing and participate in code reviews.
• Monitor micro‑service performance, troubleshoot issues and deliver timely improvements.
• Collaborate with product owners to translate customer needs into technical solutions and contribute to the product roadmap.
• Optimize algorithms and services for performance, scalability and reliability.

Required profile

• Strong curiosity and rigor in software development.
• Experience with decision systems, data analysis, architecture, scaling and micro‑services.
• Ability to model signals into efficient data structures.
• Interest in AI, machine learning and fraud detection domains.

Required skills

• Python programming.
