Purchasing Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

The Purchasing Supplier Quality Engineer acts as Stellantis' representative for supplier plants, ensuring industrial performance in mass production and readiness during launch phases. The role bridges quality, manufacturing, and supply‑chain functions to drive continuous improvement across the supplier network.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct SQD plant assessments for new suppliers according to the New Supplier Assessment (NSA) process.
• Report supplier plant industrial performance to the Commodity Quality Champion (CQC) for existing suppliers.
• Manage part industrialisation during development, guaranteeing that supplier deliverables meet specifications.
• Ensure supplier readiness for product launches and oversee greenfield (new supplier) plant projects.
• Contribute to product and process qualification for high‑risk parts or suppliers.
• Measure and validate production capacity installed by suppliers based on project buyer data.
• Monitor and improve supplier site performance in mass production, incorporating lessons learned and risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3‑5 years of experience in quality or manufacturing within the automotive sector.
• Fluent English (C1 level) and willingness to travel regularly for business.
• Strong knowledge of quality methods, industrialisation processes, project/program management, and supply‑chain dynamics.
• Proactive, results‑driven attitude with the ability to work autonomously in a fast‑changing environment.
• Excellent analytical, synthesis, and communication skills.
