Purchasing Specialist – Project Procurement

About the role

Vulcain Engineering Group is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to manage the procurement of materials and services for complex energy and offshore EPC projects. You will act as the single point of contact with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and compliance with the company's supply chain processes.

Key responsibilities

• Procure project materials, installation aids, and services in line with project specifications.
• Prepare and issue RFQs using SAP Ariba, evaluate bids, and integrate technical reviews from engineering, QA/QC, and HSE teams.
• Lead commercial negotiations and provide recommendations to the Project SCM Manager.
• Create purchase requisitions and orders in SAP, manage change orders, and ensure proper documentation.
• Expedite supplier documentation, monitor delivery schedules, and prepare recovery plans when needed.
• Coordinate inspections, quality checks, and logistics with project teams.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement or purchasing within EPC, energy, or industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
