Project Engineer Intern – France

About the role

As a Project Engineer Intern you will join one of DEME’s project teams and support the technical and operational side of dredging, offshore, environmental and infrastructure projects across France.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a bridge between the project team and on‑site crews or vessel teams, coordinating operational aspects of project execution.
• Assist in day‑to‑day follow‑up of project tasks, monitoring progress and helping optimise team performance.
• Collaborate with project engineers and site managers to maintain clear communication and support operational logistics.
• Support project planning, budgeting and execution calculations, and contribute to progress reports and technical assessments.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.).
• Strong interest in marine, civil or environmental engineering with some familiarity with project management and field operations.
• Effective communicator, able to work well in a team and interact with both technical and operational groups.
• Flexible and willing to work at project sites or travel when required.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
