Product Manager: Partnerships
aicurrent · Paris
Job description
About the role
Current AI is a global public-private partnership bringing together governments, foundations and the private sector to build public-interest AI at scale. As Product Manager: Partnerships, you will own the contributor roadmap for AI Potluck, the open-source, public-interest AI stack, and work with the Build team to ship contributions. The role is based in Paris, open to full remote (CET to EST time zones) or hybrid.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the partnership pipeline: turn roadmap needs and inbound contribution ideas into product specifications and PRDs, and work with Product, Engineering and Finance to define integration models and cost/value frameworks.
- Assess potential partners' strategic fit, technical interoperability and alignment with open-source and mission goals.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with partners, act as their main contact for technical integrations, and encourage adoption of Alpha, the public-facing demo.
- Design repeatable contribution pathways so partners can contribute without bespoke support.
- Turn roadmap gaps into scoped open calls and bounties, and keep partner strategies aligned with the product roadmap and release timelines.
- Bring contributor and user insight into the product vision and roadmap with the VP Product, and guide contributions from conception through launch and iteration.
Required profile
- 5+ years in Product Management or Product Partnerships, with open source and AI systems.
- Experience in open-source ecosystems and bringing external contributions into shipped products.
- Track record of taking contributions from first conversation to production.
- Fluent English, with clear written and verbal communication for technical teams and partner executives.
- Nice to have: research-product or public-interest tech background, experience structuring complex AI/ML integration models, designing open calls and bounties, and French proficiency.
Required skills
- Writing PRDs and technical specs that engineering teams can build from.
- Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Research, Programmes and leadership.
What we offer
- Permanent, full-time position.
- Expected salary of 75,000 to 90,000 EUR depending on experience, adjusted for location.
