Product Engineer

About the role

VoltaBack is a fast‑growing B2B2C SaaS startup transforming the corporate electric‑vehicle experience. As a Product Engineer you will own features from problem definition through delivery and monitoring, helping the team scale the platform across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship end‑to‑end product features for both backend (Python, Postgres, SQLAlchemy) and frontend (React or similar).
• Shape problem statements, push back on unclear specs, and apply strong product judgment.
• Maintain high velocity while ensuring code quality and test coverage.
• Take ownership of production issues, diagnose bugs, and implement fixes.
• Communicate progress, blockers, and impact clearly to keep the team moving.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping products to real users.
• Builder’s mindset, strong product sense, and obsession with delivering customer value.
• Comfortable working in a focused, high‑intensity environment.

Required skills

• Python
• PostgreSQL
• SQLAlchemy (or similar ORM)
• React (or another component‑oriented frontend framework)
• Solid software design principles (hexagonal architecture, domain‑driven design, testing)
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code
