Process Execution Engineer

About the role

Syntetica is seeking a hands‑on Process Execution Engineer to lead the design and delivery of our demonstration and future industrial plants. You will work at the interface between pilot‑scale development and full‑scale implementation, turning research results into reliable, safe, and scalable production facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the process engineering scope for key unit operations, converting pilot and R&D data into detailed plant designs, equipment specifications, control strategies, and operating requirements.
• Lead process design reviews and produce engineering documentation, focusing on P&IDs, control philosophies, equipment integration, operability, maintainability, and safety.
• Conduct safety and performance assessments (HAZID/HAZOP, bottleneck analyses, optimization plans) and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with equipment suppliers and external engineering partners throughout detailed design, procurement, FAT, SAT, installation, commissioning, and ramp‑up.
• Support start‑up, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation, resolving technical issues across process, equipment, and control systems.
• Translate operational learnings from pilot and demonstration phases into design standards, scale‑up assumptions, and engineering requirements for future commercial facilities.
