About the role

As a Process Engineer at PLENESYS, you will drive the technical development of our plasma‑based solutions and hydrogen production processes. You will work in a fast‑moving DeepTech startup, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to bring innovative industrial processes to market.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, commission and test plasma equipment and hydrogen production units at client sites.
  • Develop P&ID and PFD diagrams, perform pre‑design, sizing, cost studies and thermodynamic simulations.
  • Create equipment data sheets, conduct HAZOP/HAZID analyses and produce cause‑effect matrices.
  • Prepare 3D layouts, mechanical designs and detailed specifications using CAD tools.
  • Lead experimental campaigns, perform quality control, and ensure compliance with industrial standards.
  • Write technical reports, calculation notes, and certification documents.
  • Interact with suppliers for purchasing and technical exchanges.

Required profile

  • Engineer or PhD (5‑8 years of higher education) in process or mechanical engineering.
  • Relevant professional experience or internships in similar roles.
  • Strong English proficiency and excellent technical writing skills.
  • Rigorous, detail‑oriented, autonomous and able to work well in a team.

Required skills

  • Knowledge of hydrogen standards.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks) and mechanical design.
  • Solid background in fluid dynamics, heat transfer and thermodynamics.
  • Experience with experimental measurements and industrial standards.
  • Instrumentation expertise; gas chromatography is a plus.
  • Ability to create P&ID/PFD, perform equipment sizing and conduct HAZOP/HAZID analyses.
