Private Finance Manager

About the role

The Private Finance Manager will be based in France and will support a family‑office environment by overseeing budgeting, payments, reporting and day‑to‑day financial operations for privately used assets. You will work closely with finance stakeholders, contractors and senior leadership to ensure accurate, transparent and efficient financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage budgeting for personal expenses and privately used assets, monitoring income, expenses and performance.
• Execute and reconcile payments across bank accounts, credit cards and digital wallets, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
• Maintain monthly accounting records in ERP and finance systems and produce budget‑vs‑actual reports.
• Coordinate with contractors on agreements, service payments and balance reconciliation.
• Validate advance expense reports, allocate costs correctly and control payment methods.
• Monitor financial documentation, authorizations and banking records.
• Support treasury operations during peak periods or team absences, including occasional travel.
• Improve financial processes, reporting structures, ERP workflows and expense management procedures.

Required profile

• Strong experience in private finance management, financial operations or similar roles with complex payment and reporting processes.
• Solid accounting knowledge, including expense classification, allocation, AP/AR and month‑end discipline.
• Understanding of end‑to‑end banking operations, multi‑currency payments and reconciliation.
• Ability to work independently, maintain high accuracy and support senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data validation).
• Google Sheets proficiency.
• Experience with ERP or finance systems.
