Principal Solution Consultant (Europe)

About the role

AspenTech, a leading provider of software for process manufacturing, is seeking a Principal Solution Consultant to join its European team. The role supports the sales process by leveraging deep product knowledge, industry expertise, and consultative skills to help customers optimise their operations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor, identifying customer pain points and demonstrating how AspenTech solutions create value and improve business processes.
• Collaborate with account teams to develop account strategies, refine solution messaging, and produce presentation materials that drive client action.
• Lead or support consulting engagements such as demonstrations, workshops, value assessments, and technical seminars.
• Support pipeline development, respond to RFI/RFQ/RFPs, and prepare commercial proposals for assigned opportunities.
• Achieve personal targets related to productivity, bookings, and other business‑consulting metrics.

Required profile

• B.S. in Engineering with at least 8 years of consulting, technology, or industry experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) roles.
• Strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and fluency in English.
• Ability to travel frequently across Europe and work under pressure while managing multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) expertise.
• Knowledge of AspenTech solutions such as InfoPlus.21, Production Record Manager (APRM) and Production Execution Manager (APEM).
• Experience with OT/IT data integration, control systems, data historians, and data visualisation.
• Familiarity with OPC, OPC UA, REST, MQTT, Kafka and SQL databases.
• Configuration and coding skills to build customised demonstrations.
