Principal Business Consultant – R&D Regulatory

About the role

The Principal Business Consultant in the R&D Business Consulting practice helps customers bring treatments to patients faster by transforming operating models, driving organizational change, and measuring tangible business value. The role focuses on regulatory operations within the life‑sciences value chain.

Key responsibilities

• Act as lead for Veeva BC’s largest and most complex global projects, ensuring excellence across multiple teams.
• Lead business development for the R&D BC practice, architecting and winning deals exceeding $1M.
• Manage and mentor high‑performing consulting teams, overseeing professional growth and delivery standards.
• Develop and champion thought leadership in Regulatory to keep Veeva at the cutting edge of life sciences.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to C‑suite stakeholders, leveraging Veeva’s data and software to solve critical challenges.

Required profile

• 10+ years of R&D Life Sciences consulting experience (management consulting preferred).
• Proven track record of winning and delivering $1M+ consulting engagements.
• Deep domain knowledge in Regulatory Operations/Affairs and comprehensive Life Sciences landscape understanding.
• Extensive experience managing multiple project teams and senior‑level customer relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Veeva products.
• Experience delivering SaaS or tech‑enabled consulting solutions.
