Post-doctoral Researcher in GNSS Signal Processing

About the role

IMT Atlantique, part of Institut Mines-Télécom, is recruiting a post-doctoral researcher in GNSS signal processing within its Mathematical and Electrical Engineering department. The work supports the project "GNSS signal reception on multi-sensor antennas and jammer rejection", which improves the robustness of GPS and Galileo receivers against jamming and spoofing for ArianeGroup. The position is based at the Brest campus and is an 18-month fixed-term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze the state of the art of jamming and spoofing threats affecting GNSS systems.
• Model and simulate realistic GNSS and interference signals by defining suitable antenna array geometries.
• Design and implement spatio-temporal signal processing methods, comparing classical approaches with hybrid techniques using artificial intelligence.
• Develop adaptive algorithms for interference detection in dynamic environments.
• Take part in the scientific dissemination of the results.

Required profile

• PhD in signal processing, telecommunications or a related field obtained within the last 3 years.
• Scientific rigor, autonomy and strong analytical and synthesis skills.
• Team player with excellent writing skills and a high level of scientific English.

Required skills

• Signal processing (spatio-temporal, filtering, detection) and modeling/simulation.
• Scientific programming in Python, MATLAB, Julia or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of GNSS systems (GPS, Galileo).
