Operations Internship – Paris

About the role

Oliver Wyman, a global management consulting firm, is looking for high-potential interns to join its Operations practice in Paris for a six-month internship starting in 2025. The intern reports to a Manager or Senior Manager and works on simple workstreams or standalone projects across various industries, with supervision from management. Successful interns may be offered a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the problem and define an approach to solve it
• Analyse thoroughly and run diagnostics to find the causes of under-performance
• Propose hypotheses and build recommendations to improve performance
• Prepare assignment deliverables under management supervision
• Show basic project management skills for workstream activities
• Interact with international clients and develop consulting skills
• Identify further ways Operations can add value to the client
• Build strong knowledge in at least one domain: Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Services Optimization
• Frequent travel may be required depending on the assignment

Required profile

• Preference for graduates of top business or engineering schools
• First-hand experience in one of the Operations domains is ideal
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, curious and quick learner
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Fluent French and English; additional languages such as German or Spanish are appreciated

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel)
• Experience with data mining and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx) is an asset
