Opérateur sur machine (H/F)

About the role

The Banque de France is seeking a Machine Operator (H/F) for a four‑month fixed‑term contract (September to December 2026). The position is based in the semi‑industrial, climate‑controlled workshop of the North Fiducial Centre, located in the Parc du Mélantois near Lille. You will work full‑time, Monday to Friday, handling high‑capacity sorting equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform sorting operations on banknotes using a high‑technology machine.
• Load, start, and monitor the sorter, ensuring continuous operation.
• Identify and report any malfunctions, coordinating with maintenance teams for resolution.
• Handle manual tasks, including lifting loads up to 10 kg.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the climate‑controlled area.

Required profile

• High school diploma (Bac) or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating automatic sorting machines (at least 1 month).
• Rigorous, methodical, and able to work well in a team.
• Strong sense of confidentiality and availability.

Required skills

• Operation of high‑capacity sorting machinery.
• Troubleshooting of equipment in collaboration with maintenance.
