Metrology Technician – Tooling & Metrology (Toulouse)

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Metrology Technician to join the Tooling & Metrology department in Toulouse, France. The role is part of the PIOLFOA team and focuses on calibrated‑tool and equipment management, ensuring quality compliance and operational readiness across Final Assembly Lines and the Customer Line.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the physical and system flows of Metrology‑Controlled Equipment (DSM) within the Metrology Hub.
• Handle urgent tool requests for Final Assembly Lines within a strict two‑hour window.
• Issue and maintain equipment records, metrology notices and work orders for calibration and maintenance.
• Perform equipment reception, marking verification, loans, transfers and dispatch to labs or maintenance.
• Act as the direct interface between Metrology Referents, calibration laboratories and shop‑floor teams.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in tooling management, industrial logistics or metrology.
• Ability to work in a 2 × 9 h shift pattern.
• Strong analytical mindset and proactive teamwork.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP.
• Proficiency with ServiceNow.
• Proficiency with Google Suite.
• Solid understanding of metrology procedures and calibration cycles.
