About the role

Capgemini Engineering, a global engineering services provider, is looking for a Mechanical Design Technician. The role covers designing and modifying 3D mechanical parts, producing drawings and taking part in feasibility studies and industrialisation within the automotive sector.

Key responsibilities

Design and modify 3D mechanical parts using CATIA V5/V6
Produce 2D drawings, assembly drawings and layout drawings
Take part in feasibility studies and the industrialisation of parts
Ensure the quality of CAD deliverables and the consistency of technical data
Manage digital mock-ups and product data in PLM tools
Take part in technical reviews and project follow-up

Required profile

Degree of Bac+2/Bac+3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
At least 3 years of experience in mechanical design
Mandatory experience in the automotive sector
Fluent French; professional English desirable

Required skills

CATIA V5/V6 and 3D/2D design
PLM tools such as 3DEXPERIENCE and ENOVIA (an advantage)
