Mechanical Design Engineer – Advanced Manufacturing

About the role

Lines Manufacturing is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its technical team in Strasbourg. You will work on cutting‑edge industrial equipment, contributing to product development and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D to develop new products and process‑related systems.
• Source and manage procurement of mechanical components and machine systems.
• Define and implement machine assembly procedures together with workshop teams.
• Design innovative mechanical systems and large assemblies.
• Supervise machine assembly, ensuring technical and functional compliance.
• Identify and implement measurable improvements to existing machines.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in machine tools or industrial machinery.
• Background in industrial manufacturing, automation or precision engineering.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design methods and large‑assembly management.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Structural Engineering; relevant certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or PTC Creo.
