Manufacturing Engineer – Aeronautical Sector

About the role

Join ALTEN as a Manufacturing Engineer focused on the aeronautical sector. You will work on cutting‑edge projects that span research, development, and the optimisation of complex production processes for aerospace components.

Key responsibilities

• Design and improve additive manufacturing methods, integrating advanced materials for 3D‑printed parts.
• Develop and qualify forming processes for critical aerospace components, ensuring precision and quality.
• Lead PFMEA activities to identify and mitigate potential process failures.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and advanced quality‑control tools.
• Manage international projects, collaborating with R&D, production and quality teams across multiple sites.
• Monitor emerging technologies in additive manufacturing, forging and advanced materials, and propose innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in manufacturing, materials science, production engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a related field.
• Strong expertise in materials and manufacturing processes, preferably within the aeronautical industry.
• Proven ability to define, analyse and optimise production methods.
