About the role

The Fresh Products Department Manager is responsible for the entire fresh produce aisle, a strategic unit generating €5.1 million in annual revenue. Reporting directly to senior management, you will act as the business owner of this segment, driving sales and profitability while leading a team of seven employees.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee all operational aspects of the fresh produce aisle, including merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and improve margin.
  • Lead, coach, and evaluate a team of seven staff members, fostering a high‑performance culture.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, analyze results, and adjust actions to optimize department performance.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and store policies.

Required profile

  • Proven experience managing a retail department, preferably in fresh food or grocery.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on results.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop a small team.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
