Maître de Conférences – Section 27 – Informatique

About the role

The University of Picardie Jules Verne is recruiting a Maître de Conférences (Associate Professor) in Section 27 (Computer Science) for the 2026 academic year. The position includes teaching in the Computer Science department for Bachelor and Master programmes (including MIAGE, Informatics and eMIAGE) and active participation in the MIS laboratory, with a focus on Networks and Data.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver courses on object‑oriented modeling and programming, databases & Big Data, systems & DevOps, and optionally network theory and programming.
• Assume medium‑term pedagogical responsibilities within the department.
• Contribute to the laboratory’s research themes, especially musical informatics, sensor networks, IoT, distributed data and e‑health.
• Participate in national research projects (e.g., ANR MusiScale, ANR Premusic) and develop industrial and academic collaborations.
• Initiate and lead new research projects aligned with the laboratory’s strategic goals.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in the Networks and Data domain, preferably with experience in musical data analysis.
• Ability to integrate into existing projects and to develop independent research lines.

Required skills

• Object‑oriented modeling and programming.
• Database design and Big Data handling.
• Systems engineering and DevOps practices.
• Network theory, operating‑system concepts and network‑protocol programming.
