M&A Financial Controller

About the role

KONE is looking for an M&A Financial Controller to join its Europe Financial Controlling Uplift Project. The role will be part of a newly created M&A Center of Excellence, acting as a key finance partner to the global M&A team and supporting the transformation of financial controlling across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting topics related to IFRS 3 for M&A transactions.
• Prepare and post accounting entries for M&A activities, including local GAAP adjustments.
• Collaborate with KONE Business Services to ensure correct transaction recognition.
• Contribute to the monthly and quarterly closing of consolidated financial statements.
• Support finance transformation initiatives as a process champion.
• Oversee internal merger projects from a financial reporting perspective.
• Develop M&A‑related finance processes, solutions, and internal controls.
• Assist Group and statutory audits on M&A accounting matters.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• 4–7 years of finance experience, preferably in an international environment or Big 4.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and ability to apply standards in practice.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems; SAP is highly valued.
• Analytical mindset, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent collaboration, influencing and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
