Logistics Technician – Data Center Inventory & Asset

About the role

As a Logistics Technician within Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation team, you will support the day‑to‑day inventory and asset management of a data‑center environment in South France. The role combines hands‑on logistics, warranty coordination and accurate documentation of all inbound and outbound hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cycle audits and manage incoming/outgoing deliveries for data‑center hardware.
• Coordinate security escorts for third‑party vendors and document all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Initiate and process warranty claims, including packaging, shipping and receipt of Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) devices.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records in inventory management systems such as configuration management databases (CMDB) and asset repositories.
• Escalate issues during high‑volume periods and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Required profile

• Fluency in reading, writing and speaking French and/or English.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while following established processes.
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of the impact of inventory tasks on data‑center operations.

Required skills

• Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., CMDB, asset management repositories).
