Legal Counsel – Ethics & Compliance

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a proactive Legal Counsel to join its Ethics & Compliance team in Marignane, France. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor on ethics and compliance matters across both civil and military markets, helping to embed the highest standards of integrity throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic legal advice to cross‑functional teams such as Sales, Finance and Export Control on ethics and compliance risks.
• Support the creation and update of corruption risk maps, identifying and prioritising operational risks.
• Participate in third‑party due diligence for sales intermediaries, lobbyists, channel partners, suppliers and customers.
• Design and deliver specialised training sessions and promote a “Speak Up” culture across the company.
• Monitor compliance controls and assist with internal investigations or audits related to potential breaches of the Code of Conduct.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of legal experience with a strong focus on Ethics & Compliance, preferably within an international industrial group or top‑tier law firm.
• In‑depth knowledge of major anti‑corruption frameworks such as the US FCPA, UK Bribery Act and French Sapin II.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with the ability to translate complex legal requirements into clear business advice.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, capable of working with senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and work autonomously.
