Lecturer & Researcher in Civil Engineering and Building Materials

About the role

The Institut Mines-Télécom seeks an Associate Professor to join the Materials Center (C2MA) at IMT Mines Alès. The role combines teaching, research and technology transfer in civil engineering and the microstructure of building materials.

Key responsibilities

• Teach civil engineering, materials science and structural analysis courses (in English or French) and supervise student projects, ensuring at least 150 teaching hours per year.
• Conduct research on low‑carbon cementitious matrices, focusing on macroscopic properties, durability and microstructural characterization of fresh and hardened states.
• Develop and manage research contracts with industrial and academic partners, lead project teams and contribute to technology commercialization.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or Master’s in civil engineering or sustainable building and a Ph.D. in civil engineering or materials science.
• Proven teaching experience in civil engineering and construction materials, with a record of pedagogical innovation.
• Strong research record, national/international recognition, and ability to publish and collaborate with industry.
