Junior Super Pollutant Specialist – Climate & Clean Air Coalition

About the role

The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) seeks a Junior Super Pollutant Specialist to support its work on short‑lived climate pollutants. The role is contract‑based for six months, remote, and will be hosted by UNEP’s Industry & Economy Division in Paris.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate engagement of CCAC partners and industry in the Cooling Hub and related networks.
• Assist the Programme Management Officer in implementing 3‑5 cooling‑sector projects.
• Support the CCAC TEAP Manager with topic selection and knowledge transfer from the Montreal Protocol TEAP.
• Develop and coordinate a strategy on carbon finance for super‑pollutant mitigation.
• Organise events and coordinate CCAC participation at COP31 in Antalya and the 38th Meeting of the Parties in Kigali.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in environmental management, behavioral sciences or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience working on short‑lived climate pollutants.
• Proven ability to conduct research, write policy briefs, case studies and implementation plans.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and event organisation.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Turkish or another UN language is an asset.
