Junior Leather Goods Designer – Sep 2026 Start

About the role

Balenciaga is looking for a Junior Leather Goods Designer to join its Design team in September 2026. You will work closely with the Artistic Direction to translate seasonal themes into detailed visual concepts and support the creation of ready‑to‑wear and accessory collections.

Key responsibilities

• Familiarise yourself with themes defined by the Artistic Direction.
• Conduct iconographic and visual research based on those themes.
• Create detailed sketches using Photoshop, Illustrator, or freehand drawing.
• Produce sketches for lookbooks and showroom presentations.
• Provide daily support to the Design team (mood boards, meeting participation, prototype organization).
• Assist during fittings and fashion shows.
• Monitor development stages of assigned models/products.
• Participate in prototype and pre‑production sample development, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Leather Goods Design within a luxury fashion house.
• Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong drawing and sketching abilities.
• Fluent in English; French or Italian is a plus.
• Highly creative, well‑organized and able to work collaboratively.
