Junior Financial Controller (M/F/X)

About the role

As a Junior Financial Controller you will join the Global Finance Controllership Team at Royal Canin. Working in a multicultural campus near Montpellier, you will help ensure the accuracy of financial data for more than 100 units worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Support local financial controllers during the monthly closing process and perform quality checks on key indicators.
• Prepare balance‑sheet analyses and assist the accounting consultation process.
• Strengthen internal controls by clarifying guidelines, improving processes and coordinating tracking procedures such as inventory and short‑term incentives.
• Manage global intercompany reconciliation activities and support the rollout of new digital tools and process updates.
• Contribute to finance digital transformation projects, including ERP upgrades and new tool implementations.
• Help set annual performance targets, monitor progress and promote continuous‑improvement best practices.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance.
• First practical experience in finance (internship or apprenticeship).
• Fluent English; French is a strong advantage.
• Collaborative, open‑minded and comfortable working in diverse teams.
• Curious, adaptable, proactive with strong follow‑through.
• Eager to accelerate learning, develop prioritisation skills and build stakeholder relationships.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Power BI.
• Power Automate.
• Experience with an ERP system (any).
• Familiarity with consolidation systems.
