Junior Financial Controller

About the role

As a Junior Financial Controller you will join the Global Finance Controllership Team at Royal Canin. Working from the Aimargues campus, you will support the consolidation of 102 units worldwide and help ensure the accuracy of financial data within a multi‑billion‑dollar organization.

Key responsibilities

• Support local financial controllers during the monthly closing process and perform quality checks on key performance indicators.
• Prepare balance‑sheet analyses and assist the accounting consultation process.
• Strengthen internal controls by clarifying guidelines, improving processes, and coordinating tracking procedures such as inventory and short‑term incentives.
• Manage global intercompany reconciliation activities and support the rollout of new digital intercompany tools.
• Contribute to finance digital transformation projects, including ERP upgrades, new tool implementations, and system integrations.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives by helping set annual performance targets, monitoring progress, and promoting best practices.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance.
• First practical experience in finance roles (internships or apprenticeships).
• Fluent English with excellent communication skills; French proficiency is a plus.
• Collaborative, open‑minded, and comfortable working in diverse, multicultural teams.
• Curious, adaptable, proactive with strong follow‑through and a desire to fast‑track learning.

• Power BI.
• Power Automate.
• Experience with an ERP or consolidation system (strong plus).
