IT Support Engineer (Backfill) – End User Computing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide onsite backfill coverage in Bourg-en-Bresse, France. The role focuses on End User Computing (EUC) support, including desktop and laptop management, hardware troubleshooting, and assistance for conference‑room and AV equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software applications.
• Perform imaging, OS installation, and device configuration for laptops and desktops.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and coordinate OEM repairs.
• Manage IT assets, inventory, and printer installations (local and network).
• Execute IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities and support mobile devices, scanners, and non‑PC equipment.
• Provide VIP and after‑hours support, including AV and video‑conferencing technologies.
• Assist with Office 365 installation, compliance/security software, and basic DHCP/DNS troubleshooting.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and maintain accurate asset records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in desktop and laptop support for Windows and macOS environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under SLA constraints.
• Flexibility to cover scheduled and emergency onsite activities.
